A birthday gift with everyone in it
A QR memory card birthday gift collects photos, short videos, and messages into one private album that opens when the birthday person scans a printed keepsake card with their phone camera — no app needed. A Solo Keepsake is a gift from one person; a Group Keepsake gathers contributions from up to ten friends and family.
Birthday cards are mostly read once. Not because the people who wrote them did not mean it, but because there is only so much anyone can fit under a pre-printed verse — and the card is in the recycling by the following week, along with the wrapping.
Save it for the birthdays that count
Not every birthday needs one. The ones that do are the round numbers — the thirtieth, the fiftieth, the eightieth — and the first one someone spends far from home. Those are the birthdays where the people with something to say are scattered across cities, and a card on the table only collects whoever happens to be in the room.
A Group Keepsake gives you one link to share with family and friends. Up to ten people add their own photos, a message, or a short video from their phone, with no account, and you see every contribution before it is printed.
What to put in it
The photos nobody has seen in years work best: the birthday person at the age their own children are now, the trip everyone still brings up, the haircut they would rather forget. Next to them, thirty seconds of video from someone who would never write a long card.
A Solo Keepsake holds up to 30 photos, one video of up to 5 minutes, and a written message — enough to be generous without turning into a camera roll.
Leave enough time
A mailed keepsake is printed after you finish the album — typically 2–3 business days — and then travels with Canada Post. For a group gift, start a week or two ahead so people have time to contribute.

Questions
Can I keep it a surprise?
Yes. Contributors add to it through a link you share with them, not with the birthday person, so the first they see of it is the card.
Can it ship straight to the birthday person?
Yes. The card is sent by Canada Post either to you, to hand over yourself, or directly to your recipient.
Can I lock the album?
Yes. You can set a passcode they enter after scanning. The album is never public and never indexed by search engines.
How long does the album stay online?
Your album is included for two years from activation, and renewable after that. We'll email you before it expires so you can renew or download everything in it.
